Education is the foundation for developing science and technology and cultivating talent, playing a leading, comprehensive, and fundamental role in modernization. In the historical stage of the emerging knowledge economy, high-level talents with independent innovation spirit and practical abilities are becoming increasingly important for enhancing a country's comprehensive strength and international competitiveness, with the foundation lying in high-level higher education. For education, teachers are fundamental. The hope for revitalizing higher education lies in cultivating a high-level and high-quality teaching team dedicated to higher education. To foster a high-level and high-quality teaching team in higher education institutions requires multiple conditions and pathways, among which teacher training is a crucial one. Therefore, in April 1996, the former Ministry of Education officially promulgated and implemented the "Regulations for the Teacher Training Project in Higher Education Institutions," followed by the "Provisional Rules for Pre-service Training of Teachers in Higher Education Institutions." The documents stated that pre-service training is the pre-job training for new and incoming teachers in higher education institutions, a significant measure for the state to strengthen the construction of teaching teams in higher education and ensure the overall quality of the teaching staff. In line with the spirit of relevant documents from the state and the Ministry of Education, our province has earnestly organized the pre-service training of teachers in higher education institutions across the province. Over the years, this work has received strong support from all higher education institutions in the province. We have strengthened training management, reformed training formats, adjusted training content, established a teacher training pool, and reinforced the examination process. The pre-service training of teachers in higher education institutions across the province has achieved remarkable results, playing a positive role in improving the ideological and ethical quality and professional competence of teachers, especially young teachers. In recent years, the content of our province's pre-service training mainly included higher education, higher education psychology, moral cultivation of teachers in higher education institutions, and higher education laws and regulations. In practice, we found that in recent years, a large number of teachers have entered higher education institutions, and a considerable number of them lack proficiency in teaching and research methods. Especially, most young teachers have not received systematic training in teaching methods, making it difficult for them to adapt to the urgent need of quickly stepping onto the lecture stage following the expansion of higher education enrollment. Therefore, based on research and surveys, we decided to add training in teaching and research methods to help young teachers master the necessary teaching and research skills.
