Features: At first, Colonel Gurov was reluctant to take on the case of the banker Golstoyev. Ensuring the personal safety of the daughter of a financial giant seemed like a trivial matter, unnecessary to involve a seasoned and legendary figure from the Moscow police like Gurov. But this ordinary case led Gurov into the highest echelons of the Russian authorities, showing him the corruption, factional interests, uncontrollable political ambitions, and ruthless power struggles there. They laid the groundwork for larger-scale crimes—assassinating the country's president. Thus, unexpectedly, a hardy detective who had survived great dangers appeared on the path of the conspirators—Lev Gurov.
