Features: The Eighth Route Army (), was a People's Liberation Army of China reorganized from the Red Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army, led and commanded by the Communist Party of China. It was the predecessor of the People's Liberation Army of China. During the eight years of bloody struggle, the Eighth Route Army continued to grow and strengthen, from an initial strength of 46,000 at the beginning of the war to over 1.02 million at the end of the war, becoming a majestic and victorious army, laying a solid foundation for winning the victory of the War of Liberation and liberating all of China. This book was officially approved and organized for writing by the Strategic Department of the Academy of Military Sciences. It introduces the history of the Eighth Route Army's growth and development under the leadership of our Party during the Anti-Japanese War, as it fought bravely against the Japanese invaders and puppet forces as well as the stubborn faction of the Kuomintang. The two books feature: 1.
