Features: This book elaborates on the fundamental principles of modern power electronics technology. The entire book consists of 7 chapters, which can be divided into 3 units:
① Device Unit: This is the first unit, focusing on explaining the impact of circuit operating conditions on the performance of devices such as power diodes, PowerMOSFETs, IGBTs, and IGCTs.
② PWM Hard-Switching Circuit Unit: Comprising Chapters 2-5, this unit explains the working principles of various conversion circuits controlled by PWM in hard-switching environments. These circuits include DC conversion circuits, inverter circuits, AC conversion circuits, and rectifier circuits.
③ PWM Soft-Switching Circuits and PWM Multilevel Circuits Unit: PWM soft-switching circuits and PWM multilevel circuits represent important frontiers in modern power electronics technology. Chapter 6 elaborates on the working principles of three types of PWM soft-switching circuits—control-type, buffer-type, and DC resonant-type. Chapter 7 explains the working principles of two types of multilevel circuits—PWM multiplexing and PWM midpoint-clamped circuits.
This book is well-structured, presents up-to-date content, and is clearly explained, making it suitable as a graduate textbook for power electronics and power drive professionals. It can also serve as a reference for technical personnel engaged in professional work.
