Features: The Ministry of Education has required universities to strengthen the education of students in humanities knowledge and humanities spirit, which undoubtedly grasps the key to quality education and holds significant practical meaning while also demonstrating strategic foresight. The Chinese education in universities should be the best way to achieve this goal. Through such Chinese education, we hope to help students see a noble, healthier, more civilized, and more ideal concept and reality beyond the secular life, thereby clarifying or adjusting their life direction and goals. Based on this understanding, we wrote this book. The content of this book has four main characteristics: First, the selected texts are avoided as much as possible to avoid repetition with middle school content, in order to increase novelty and expand reading breadth. Second, most of them are related to the problems students encounter, think about, and are confused about, such as cherishing natural life, how to face love, and how to succeed in career and employment. Third, it is more aligned with students' current level, with efforts to shorten the length of classical Chinese texts and reduce difficulty to avoid spending too much time on explaining the texts within limited class hours. Fourth, the "Thinking and Exercises" are closer to students' actual thoughts, making them easier to understand and more actionable. The last unit is a literary unit, intended to enhance students' literary literacy.
