Features: Renowned writer Wang Meng shared his deep affection for Soviet songs in "The World of Sounds": "I immersed myself in the ocean of Soviet songs. Starting with 'Katyusha' and 'Our Motherland Is Vast,' one after another bright, fulfilling, ideal, and determined Soviet songs stirred waves in my heart, ignited the flames of my youth, and gave wings to my striving. Soviet songs became a part of my life, a part of my existence, and a part of my destiny." In fact, this kind of deep attachment to Soviet songs is not limited to Wang Meng or the generation that grew up in the 1950s, but extends to all adults and young people who have listened to and sung these songs. The unforgettable melodies from these songs linger in their hearts. Especially in recent years, through widespread performances and audiovisual products, Soviet songs have deeply resonated with people and gradually become a part of popular musical life. To ensure these touching melodies not only live on in people's singing but also flow through their piano playing, and to allow people to experience the profound and vast charm of Russian culture through these songs, thereby influencing their aesthetic taste and style, we have selected 20 of these songs and arranged them into piano pieces. We have also created simplified versions of each piece, enabling beginners to enjoy the joy of participation. This small booklet represents a creative collaboration between piano experts, harmony professors, and music theory scholars. During the writing process, the authors worked both independently and collaboratively, striving to perfect each piece through collective wisdom and cooperation.
