Features: The study of value issues has been a hot topic in Chinese academia since the 1980s, especially in the 1990s. However, the process of China's re-entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO) did not attract much attention from researchers on value issues in the philosophy field. In other words, on the one hand, scholars in fields such as economics, law, politics, and culture who studied the WTO rarely addressed value issues; on the other hand, the study of value issues in philosophy almost completely ignored the WTO. Neither scholars researching the WTO nor those studying philosophy made a strong connection between China's entry into the WTO and the construction of its values. As a result, a significant gap emerged in the research on this major issue. The research in this book aims to fill this gap.
