5 days of missed period, can pregnancy test paper detect pregnancy?

Patient's question:

Menstruation has been delayed by 5 days.
Yesterday and the day before yesterday, I used a test strip and the results were negative.
Last night, I bought a good one to test. Tested this morning.
The instructions say it can detect 7 days before menstruation or 2 days after implantation of the fertilized egg.
But this morning, the result is still negative. I don’t know if it’s reliable?
Also, I have a retroverted uterus.
My partner only uses a condom or practices withdrawal right before ejaculation.
Is it also easy to get pregnant?
I’m very worried and anxious.
I don’t know what to do now.

Doctor's answer:

If your menstrual cycle is regular, you have normal sexual activity, and you have not taken any effective contraceptive measures, the possibility of pregnancy is relatively high if your period is delayed. The self-testing rate of early pregnancy test strips is 75%, and the result is effective within 5 minutes. There may be false negative or false positive results. It is more accurate to check the result 10 days after the period is delayed. Generally, a delay of about one week in the menstrual cycle is still within the normal range.
