Features: Since the reform and opening-up, the field of educational research in China has faced a brand-new situation. The Institute of Private Education Research, Shanghai Institute for Educational Research, is a specialized educational research institution that was among the first in Shanghai and the country to conduct experiments in institutional reform. It has successively undertaken national key projects during the "Eighth Five-Year Plan," "Ninth Five-Year Plan," and "Tenth Five-Year Plan," as well as a large number of research projects commissioned by the National People's Congress, the Ministry of Education, the Shanghai Municipal Government, and the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, achieving fruitful results in educational scientific research. This book is one of the selected works. The editorial team followed three principles: First, articles that have already been included in various publications by the Institute of Educational Research or the institute itself are not reprinted here; second, over the past decade, a large number of research reports and papers have been published on the same topic, and this book selects only those that are typical and representative; third, the research achievements of the institute are published in two albums, the upper and lower parts, with this book focusing on collecting research-related achievements, while the practical aspects are edited in a separate volume.
