Qigong Cong Draft Poems and Verses Volume

Publish Date: 1999-07-16
Features: At the age of over twenty, Qi Gong began to study under Professor Li Yun, learning about academic traditions and textual research, realizing that "no evidence, no trust" is the foundation of establishing oneself and writing. At the time, he had a private fondness for calligraphy and painting, often drawing inspiration from ancient calligraphy and paintings. One day, Professor Li Yun asked about his interests, and he replied, "I hope to achieve something in the field of art." The teacher then encouraged him with a playful saying, "I initially studied medicine, and in the future, I will also be a person who inherits the skills." Later, he taught at middle schools and universities, gradually broadening his scope, indulging in poetry and prose, and once wrote "Draft on the Theory of Ancient Characters." When the book was completed, his late teacher still had the opportunity to review it. However, after painstakingly compiling "Draft on the Theory of Poetic Rhythm and Tonal Patterns," it took ten years to finish, but his teacher was no longer able to see it. In the early 1980s, a close friend of Zhonghua Book Company, Mr. Fu Xuancong, asked me to compile a collection of scattered old drafts into a book. Fortunately, I had previously requested his late teacher to inscribe the title "Qi Gong Collection" on a cover label, which I used for this book. Mr. Fu supervised the printing process to be expedited. The publishing department term for this is "number extraction," and soon the book was printed. This is the second volume of my humble drafts.
