"Inorganic Non-metallic Materials Technology" is a textbook reform project under the Shandong Provincial Department of Education. It was developed in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Education for the reform of university textbooks, to adapt to the development of higher education in the 21st century. This book is a teaching material for undergraduate majors in materials science. Inorganic non-metallic materials are one of the three pillar materials, holding a very important strategic position in various fields of the national economy and playing an irreplaceable role in driving the development of the national economy. Inorganic non-metallic materials are diverse, and traditional courses on the technology of inorganic non-metallic materials primarily consist of three independent and separate systems: "Cement Technology," "Ceramic Technology," and "Glass Technology." While emphasizing the independence and completeness of each system, these courses overlooked the unity under the framework of inorganic non-metallic materials. Currently, interdisciplinary integration and cross-penetration among disciplines in material research and application are developing rapidly, leading to the emergence of many new materials and a shift in material functionality from singularity to multifunctionality. Therefore, in the process of writing "Inorganic Non-metallic Materials Technology," the boundaries between the traditional three technologies were broken, and a textbook system was established centered on the main framework of "basic concepts of inorganic non-metallic materials" — "raw materials and pretreatment" — "material thermal processing" — "products and product processing" — "material properties," with reasonable integration of raw and fuel structures and physicochemical properties.
