Features: This book is a research outcome of the "Reform Plan for Teaching Content and Curriculum System in Higher Education Towards the 21st Century" by the Ministry of Education, serving as a textbook for the 21st-century curriculum and the "Nineth Five-Year Plan" teaching material for electrical engineering under the Ministry of Education. It is primarily revised based on the basic teaching requirements for the two courses, "Electrical Technology (Electrical Engineering I)" and "Electronic Technology (Electrical Engineering II)," issued by the Ministry of Education in 1995.
Part 1 covers electrical technology, with main content including: basic concepts and fundamental laws of circuits, circuit analysis methods, sinusoidal alternating-current circuits, three-phase circuits, circuits with non-sinusoidal periodic currents, transient analysis of circuits, magnetic circuits and iron-core coil circuits, alternating-current motors, direct-current motors, control motors, relay contactor control systems, programmable controllers and their applications, industrial power supply and safe electrical use, and electrical measurement. The entire book is accompanied by exercises. It can be used as a textbook for non-electrical majors in higher education institutions.
The third edition of this book won the National Excellent Teaching Material Award in 1987, and the fourth edition received the Second Prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award and the Third Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award in 1997. It is a key national textbook for general higher education under the "Nineth Five-Year Plan."
