Features: This book is a recommended teaching material by the Department of Vocational and Adult Education of the Ministry of Education. It adopts the new version of Unigraphics NX2.0 as the teaching platform and is divided into 13 chapters. Chapters 1~7 mainly introduce the basic operations and methods and ideas of UG for solid modeling, including basic primitive modeling, sweeping feature modeling, shaping features on solids, and feature operations. Chapters 8~11 mainly introduce some construction methods and examples of free-form surfaces. Chapter 12 introduces the bottom-up assembly method using the valve switch as an example. Chapter 13 mainly introduces the methods and techniques for generating engineering drawings. The entire book adopts a (illustrated) approach, training students to quickly master the basic construction operations and comprehensive application skills of UG through hands-on projects involving typical objects (parts). It also guides students to broaden their design thinking and enrich their practical skills. The book is accompanied by an electronic teaching reference package, including a teaching guide, electronic lesson plans, and answer keys, details of which can be found in the preface.
