Features: This book systematically introduces the knowledge of automotive microcontrollers and vehicle bus systems. From the perspective of practical applications, it explains the working principles, internal structures, and functions of automotive microcontrollers, as well as the common classifications of vehicle buses. It covers the characteristics, system composition, and how to design a network node for CAN-BUS and LIN-BUS network systems. By reading this book, readers can understand the working principles of automotive microcontrollers, master the latest composition and application technologies of vehicle bus systems, and more. Engineers and technicians can also benefit from this book, as its content is both rich and systematic.
CAN (Controller Area Network) is a field bus with international standards and high cost-performance. It has been adopted as a standard equipment in automotive design. LIN (Local Interconnect Network) is a low-cost serial communication network used to achieve distributed electronic system control in vehicles. The goal of LIN is to provide auxiliary functions for existing automotive networks (e.g., CAN bus). Therefore, LIN is an auxiliary bus network. In scenarios where CAN bus bandwidth and multifunctionality are not required, such as communication between smart sensors and braking systems, using LIN can significantly reduce costs.
The book includes the following content:
Basic knowledge of automotive electronics and microcomputers, with the MCS51 microcomputer as an example, providing a detailed introduction to the internal structure and working principles of the MCS51 series microcomputer;
Basic principles of computer network technology and field bus;
Fundamental knowledge of vehicle bus systems;
CAN 2.0 specification and the use of several typical CAN controllers and drivers;
An explanation of the LIN bus technology specification;
A brief introduction to power devices widely used in automotive environments, considering the complex conditions on vehicles;
Finally, based on the author's practical experience and development applications, several typical examples of automotive electronic control systems are introduced in detail.
This book is suitable for students in automotive engineering, mechanical and electrical technology, automation control, and applied electronics. It can also be used by relevant engineering technicians. The book briefly covers topics such as automotive electronics technology, microcomputers, the development of automotive electronics technology, interrupts, timers and counters, serial communication, and examples of automotive electronic control systems.
