All text samples are part of speech coded and can be used by English teachers in primary, secondary, and universities, as well as college students, graduate students, and English enthusiasts from all walks of life for English teaching research and learning. It can also serve as an important reference for textbook compilation, teaching testing, teacher training, and online course development. This project is supported by the Key Research Base of the Ministry of Education, the Research Center for Chinese English Education, Beijing Foreign Studies University.
Hardware Requirements: Pentium II or higher processor, 64MB RAM, 50MB or more hard disk space, 8x CD-ROM drive, sound card with 16-bit or higher.
Software Requirements: MS-Windows 98 or higher, Windows Media Player 6.4 or higher.
