Features: "Rewriting the History of Scholarship" means providing new interpretations and summaries of the evolution of academic thought in various historical stages of China. This is actually consistent with what I previously said, "Re-evaluating Ancient Chinese Civilization" and "Moving Beyond the Distrust of Antiquity." The skepticism towards antiquity that emerged since the late Qing Dynasty largely stems from a doubt and negation of the history of scholarship, and this scholarly trend itself is a phenomenon in the history of scholarship. Only by overcoming the limitations of skepticism can we better evaluate ancient civilization. Over the past two years since 1998, I have written more than twenty short articles on this issue, roughly outlining some of my ideas.
