Features: The culture of the Chinese nation has a long and profound history, and is vast and profound. As a representative of national opera art, Peking Opera is an important part of the entire national art of China. Peking Opera is not only a treasure of Chinese national culture but also a fine piece in the treasure house of human culture. Peking Opera is one of the most accomplished and representative opera genres in the Chinese opera family. It once captivated the entire nation, winning over countless audiences. However, its artistic completeness and maturity have also brought about greater rigidity, making it face more severe challenges from the times. Its rich and profound artistic connotations must be respected and inherited, but in the face of the current reality, it is even more important to emphasize innovation and development. Only through innovation and development can it truly break free from its predicament and walk the broad road of integration with the times. The Peking Opera art master Zhou Xinfang, renowned alongside Mei Lanfang, founded the Qipai art, which is celebrated in the art world for its unique charm—full of passion, richness, depth, and grandeur. And his eighty-year life journey was even more magnificent than his art. At the age of fifteen, during his voice break, he suddenly encountered the misfortune of losing his voice, followed by enduring the cruelty of the Japanese invaders, the tyranny of the Kuomintang reactionaries, and the merciless persecution of the "Gang of Four." In the face of misfortune, he chose resistance. It can be said that his entire life was spent in an unyielding struggle against fate. The author of this biography has extensively visited the friends and colleagues of the subject during his lifetime, gathering detailed materials, and vividly portrays the extraordinary life journey of this opera master, who rose from a "child of seven" to the "Qilin" of Peking Opera.
