Features: This course provides a series of drawing exercises, including still life and landscape, for first-year painting students. It enables students to master the basic skills of realistic color drawing and gain an understanding of the principles of black and white, grayscale, and warm and cool colors in realistic painting. This lays a solid foundation for their future specialized studies and artistic creation. The course primarily focuses on still life and landscape drawing, supplemented by a small amount of theoretical learning. All semester-long classroom assignments are still life drawing, while some small-scale landscape drawings are arranged outside of class, lasting six weeks. In the second semester, the first three weeks are dedicated to landscape drawing, and the last four weeks remain focused on still life drawing, spanning seven weeks. This course must integrate three aspects: technical guidance and theoretical instruction; classroom teaching and artistic practice; and skill and technique training with aesthetic education. The teaching content is arranged from simple to complex, progressing from easy to difficult in a step-by-step manner. The teaching method emphasizes guidance, using demonstrations of techniques and modern teaching tools for observing, analyzing, and explaining works.
