Features: This book is divided into three chapters. The first chapter discusses the basic theories of intellectual property from a conceptual perspective. The second chapter introduces some application examples to further elaborate on important theoretical issues of intellectual property from a practical standpoint. Since intellectual property law differs from legal theory and constitutional law, it is ultimately an applied legal discipline. From the beginning, if one completely detaches from practical applications to explain the theories, it would be impossible to clarify the relevant theories, and secondly, it would lose the significance of this discipline. The third chapter covers international protection of intellectual property, focusing on introducing the most important international conventions. Some international conventions on intellectual property are presented before the domestic law (particulars) of intellectual property because the negotiations for participation and conclusion of international conventions often drive China's intellectual property legislation. The important substantive provisions of China's current intellectual property law originate from several key conventions, which is also one of the benefits of China's relatively late legislation in this field. China's intellectual property law is different from criminal law; it is not something that has existed since ancient times in China. Therefore, it can be said that discussing the principles of China's intellectual property law without the theory of international protection is as unfeasible in modern society as trying to legislate without existing conventions. The second part is the particular discussions, which specifically elaborates on the issues of various departments of intellectual property law.
