This volume contains 8 units, with 3 reading articles per unit, totaling 24 articles. Each unit includes the following sections:

2) The new words and phrases in each reading article are annotated in marginal notes to promptly overcome vocabulary-related reading obstacles, helping students focus on discourse-level comprehension.
3) The 3 articles in each unit revolve around a single theme and correspond to the relevant units in the "Comprehensive Textbook." The purpose is to provide students with more "input" on the same theme, reinforcing the internalization of related information and improving their expressive abilities in that context.
4) The selection of materials in this reading textbook emphasizes brevity and precision, with diverse genres and topics, which not only fosters students' interest in humanities but also expands their knowledge while facilitating classroom use and self-study.
5) The exercises in each unit are designed in various forms to reflect the comprehensive training of multiple language skills during the English learning process.
