Selection of Accounting Papers in 2003

Features: To summarize the research achievements of accounting theory in the previous year, encourage and motivate a wide range of accounting professionals to engage in theoretical research, and promote the better service of accounting theory research to accounting reform and economic construction, the Secretariat of the Chinese Institute of Accounting organizes an annual selection of outstanding accounting papers every year. The papers participating in the 2004 selection were still mainly recommended by our institute and provincial accounting academies, national-level professional accounting academies, branches and committees of the Chinese Institute of Accounting, as well as member units of our institute from the papers published in their host journals in 2003. There were also a few winning papers recommended by other accounting professional journals. For this event, our institute received a total of 153 papers selected by the aforementioned units after screening. After the expert evaluation committee organized the selection, a total of 6 honor awards, 5 first prizes, 10 second prizes, and 20 third prizes were awarded. The winning papers have now been compiled into a book to be presented to readers.
