Features: Statistics is one of the core courses for finance and economics majors in higher education institutions. To meet the needs of applied undergraduate courses and teaching reform, and to achieve the fundamental teaching goal of applying knowledge in practice, we have specially compiled and published the book "Applied Statistics" based on the requirements for cultivating applied undergraduate talents. During the compilation process, we strive to reflect the following characteristics: (1) Application-oriented. On the premise of correctly explaining the relevant theories of statistics, we highlight the application of statistical methods and techniques, and strive to program them using Excel. (2) Layered structure. This is reflected in two aspects: the hierarchical structure of the content, and the hierarchical approach to narration. (3) Case-based. Each chapter is followed by cases. These cases summarize the key content of the chapter while also demonstrating its practical application. In summary, reflecting, emphasizing, and strengthening the application-oriented nature, and ultimately enabling learners to achieve the ability to apply and apply knowledge has been the fundamental spirit we adhere to in compiling this book. The book is divided into eight chapters, including a statistical theory and method system that integrates the three levels of basic statistical theories, statistical methods and techniques, and practical applications.
