Did I need to do NT screening, and do I still need to do the T screen?

Patient's question:

I am very scared when this happens. I often have lower abdominal pain and don't know how to solve it, so I came here to consult. Please ask if I still need to do an NT test after it.

Doctor's answer:

Ultrasound and prenatal screening are not the same thing. Prenatal screening is used to determine the likelihood of your baby having Down syndrome (through blood tests), while ultrasound simply examines the external appearance to see if it is normal. Prenatal screening involves checking the baby from a congenital and blood perspective to rule out the possibility of Down syndrome. Generally, doctors recommend that women with risk factors for prenatal screening follow a balanced diet, avoid spicy and stimulating foods, and stay away from cold foods. Additionally, patients should create an environment that promotes emotional stability and stress relief. Wishing the patient a healthy delivery.
