Publish Date: 2005-10-14
Features: To learn from the painful lessons of the early development phase, where the lack of effective regulation and industry self-discipline led to blind development, chaos, and repeated risks, in order to further gain understanding and support from all sectors of society and relevant government departments. By drawing on the development experience of mature markets and leveraging the advantages of being a latecomer, we aim to avoid detours and respond to the new challenges and opportunities of the 21st-century domestic and international economic development, as well as the opportunities and challenges brought by China's entry into the WTO. In early 2001, the China Securities Regulatory Commission Futures Department began to include the formulation of a development plan for the futures market as a foundational task. By the end of 2001, the China Securities Regulatory Commission and the Futures Industry Association jointly held the China Futures Market Development Strategy Symposium, widely soliciting opinions from experts and scholars from all sectors of society. On this basis, the Futures Industry Association took on the specific drafting work for the China Futures Market Development Research Report. Subsequently, under the leadership of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, the Futures Industry Association allocated funding, organized personnel, held discussions, and revised the report multiple times, ultimately forming the China Futures Market Development Research Report.
