Features: This book introduces the scale, structure, and various obstacles faced by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in China when exporting. It theoretically demonstrates the important role of SMEs in leveraging comparative advantages and promoting export trade, and attempts to propose feasible policy recommendations. China's total number of SMEs accounts for more than 99% of the overall number of enterprises. In terms of ownership structure, various non-public economic components hold a significant proportion in the total number of SMEs. Compared to large enterprises, SMEs have flexible operational mechanisms, simple management structures, strong incentive mechanisms, and do not suffer from the inherent problems of traditional state-owned large enterprises.
