Publishing Date: 2004-09-01
Features: This book selects nearly two thousand medical case records from ancient times (from the Han and Tang dynasties) to the modern era. To accurately reflect the academic thoughts of medical practitioners, the selected cases are kept as close to their original form as possible. The scope of the selected cases is primarily a group of diseases based on traditional Chinese medicine's kidney pathological changes, covering modern medical kidney diseases and some reproductive system diseases. To adapt to the continuous integration and convergence of Chinese and Western medicine, this book is divided into two parts. The cases in the first part are named according to traditional Chinese medicine syndromes, while the cases in the second part are named according to modern medical diagnoses. The case records in this book are selected from medical works of all dynasties, with varying units of drug dosages. They are preserved in their original form without changes. It is hoped that readers can study them with a historical dialectical perspective, learning from the methods without rigidly adhering to the formulas. Some selected cases are followed by annotations, all of which are original. The purpose of retaining the annotations is to help readers gain a deeper understanding of the of the cases.
