How is the girl's vaginal wind caused?

Patient's question:

I have an itchy lower body, and my underwear is always yellow. What's going on? How is teenage vaginal wind caused?

Doctor's answer:

The vagina frequently expels gas, resembling flatulence, which the person cannot control. In severe cases, it may produce a continuous, sizzling sound. This condition is known in traditional Chinese medicine as "yin chui." Treatment involves three aspects: (1) Taking medications that replenish qi and blood and enhance the middle qi; (2) Strengthening the body and promoting postpartum recovery; (3) Local muscle exercises, in addition to postpartum health exercises, focusing on the contraction of pelvic floor, anal, and vaginal muscles, which helps in the restoration of the birth canal.
Vaginal infections can also cause vaginal gas discharge in some women with vaginitis. However, in these cases, the gas expelled from the vagina is usually weaker, and the more prominent symptoms include increased leukorrhea, external genital itching, or vaginal discomfort. This occurs because the microorganisms that infect the vagina produce gas during reproduction, which accumulates within the vaginal cavity. When the body position changes or abdominal pressure increases, this gas is expelled from the vagina. The causative microorganisms are mostly anaerobic bacteria or Trichomonas vaginalis. When such symptoms appear, it is advisable to consult a gynecologist and receive treatment under medical guidance.
