Features: This book was compiled to meet the needs of vocational and technical education in China. Based on the training objectives of the electrical profession in vocational and technical colleges, the compilers started from social demand and took the cultivation of applied technology skills as the main thread, striving to transform the textbook from a single-discipline type to a comprehensive one, achieving a synthesis of theory and practice, knowledge and skills. In the writing process, the principle of "less is more" was followed, and efforts were made to make the content easy to understand and facilitate self-study. The book primarily covers basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, the structure and working principles of hydraulic and pneumatic components, basic hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, air supply devices, examples of hydraulic and pneumatic transmission systems, the design of hydraulic and pneumatic transmission systems, as well as the installation, debugging, fault analysis, and emergency handling of hydraulic and pneumatic transmission systems. During the writing process, the following relationships were given special consideration: (1) In terms of content arrangement, hydraulics was taken as the main thread, with hydraulics and pneumatics organically integrated. Common issues were addressed in a way that allowed for easy generalization, avoiding repetition, and scientifically handling the relationship between traditional and new technologies. (2) Theory and practice emphasized the application of basic theories in modern industrial technology, including content on system installation, debugging, operation, maintenance, fault analysis, and troubleshooting. (3) Promoting teaching method reform. Each chapter highlights key knowledge points to be mastered, stimulating students' learning motivation and inspiring scientific thinking.
