Can a child be kept if hCG doubles?

Patient's question:

Doctor, my last menstrual period was on November 6th. It was 12 days earlier than my previous period (I started dieting on October 20th, so I thought it was due to endocrine disorders). I had sex with my husband on November 29th and December 9th. My period didn't come on schedule in December. On December 21st, at the doctor's suggestion, I had a six-panel sex hormone test and found out I was pregnant. The doctor said my hCG level was below normal and asked me to monitor the doubling of hCG levels (attached records). Later, I went to a different hospital for further examination, and the doctor said it was possible that my data was low due to delayed menopause, asking me to have a follow-up ultrasound for speculation.
On January 6th (the month after my last period on November 6th), I suddenly noticed broken skin down there. It was dark brown at first and now deep red, similar to my period. I usually have very light periods with only a little blood. Yesterday, I had an ultrasound at the hospital, and the doctor said the size was equivalent to 35 days, not recommending preservation.
I'm reaching out through this platform to ask for help from the experts. Could you please help me figure out the timing and what might be wrong? Can my child still be preserved? Thank you very much! Thank you so much!!

Doctor's answer:

Based on your careful examination, the hCG doubling situation is not ideal. Are you currently taking progesterone? There needs to be active fetal preservation for the bleeding below, especially if you want this child. If not, there's a high likelihood of a miscarriage. The indicators from the careful examination are not good. The above advice is for the question "Can my child still be kept in this situation?" and I hope it helps you. Wishing you good health!
