Features: This book is a mid-term achievement of the National Social Science Fund Project "Research on Public Functionary Crimes" led by Professor Zhou Zhenxiang. In terms of structure, the book divides the research review of public functionary crimes into two parts: a review of its criminological issues and a review of its criminal law issues. In the criminological issues review of public functionary crimes, it provides a meaningful distinction between the concept of public functionary crimes and related concepts such as official crimes, economic crimes, and crimes committed by public officials. It also traces the legislative and judicial history of public functionary crimes from ancient times to modern times, with particular emphasis on the current state of public functionary crimes in China. The book analyzes and summarizes the research on the cause systems of public functionary crimes and the prevention and countermeasure systems by Chinese scholars, as well as specifically analyzes some specific measures within the prevention system. In the criminal law issues review of public functionary crimes, the book specifically divides public functionary crimes into three categories: corruption and bribery crimes, dereliction of duty crimes, and crimes of public officials abusing their power to infringe upon the personal rights and democratic rights of citizens, providing thematic reviews for each category.
