In the Song Dynasty, Shu Province (modern Sichuan) was renowned for its flourishing culture, yet many of its collected and individual works have been lost. Mr. Fu Zengxiang devoted thirteen years to collecting local literature, extensively studying numerous books, and gathering over 450 authors and more than 2,600 pieces of literature, all of which were previously unknown or lost works of Song-era Shu people. He arranged them chronologically by era and revised and selected texts that appeared in multiple versions. Later, Mr. Fu "corrected false entries, verified discrepancies, supplemented missing parts, and eliminated redundant content," compiling them into 100 volumes. Additionally, he included an "Author and Compiler Examination," referencing hundreds of local gazettes and biographies, ensuring comprehensive and balanced coverage of historical and literary works.
