How should endometrial polyps be treated?

Patient's question:

I have a tail that lasts for 8-10 days and go to the hospital for an ultrasound, which shows an endometrial polyp. On January 3, 2010, I had a thorough examination. But I am still a virgin, so the doctor recommended going to a higher-level hospital for a re-examination.
History of previous treatment and its effectiveness: Not treated. I really want to know the cause of the polyp and whether it can cause other inflammation? Is there a good treatment method? Please advise, thank you!!

Doctor's answer:

The causes of endometrial polyps may be related to inflammation, endocrine disorders, particularly excessively high estrogen levels.
Treatment for endometrial polyps: dilate the cervix, remove the polyps, and then scrape the entire uterine cavity. This can remove scattered small polyps and send them for careful pathological examination. Follow-up should be conducted regularly after surgery to monitor for recurrence and malignant transformation, and timely treatment should be implemented. Surgical removal of small polyps under hysteroscopy or laser treatment is also a consideration.
Wishing you well.
