How to handle candidiasis of the vagina

Patient's question:

I have had candidiasis vaginitis for many years. My menstruation is also irregular.

Doctor's answer:

This is generally acceptable. For candidal vulvovaginitis, a baking soda solution can be used to clean the affected area locally, or imidazole creams such as Daktarin cream or clotrimazole cream can be applied externally. Oral griseofulvin and itraconazole can also be taken. Pay attention to hygiene in daily life, and avoid sexual activity during treatment. Additionally, maintain cleanliness of the external genital area, avoiding washing with soap; try to restrain from scratching and rubbing the affected area; avoid spicy foods; and be mindful of avoiding emotional fluctuations.
