What is the function of flavonoids?

Patient's question:

I haven't had my period for 60 days. The doctor prescribed me Flavonoid, 15 tablets to be taken over five days. I would like to ask how many days after taking it usually the period comes. If it still hasn't come, should I continue taking it or get an injection of Flavonoid?

Doctor's answer:

sam613, hello! First of all, I wish you a speedy recovery! Below, I will tell you about "Progesterone".
Progesterone is used to treat menstrual disorders such as amenorrhea and dysfunctional uterine bleeding, luteal phase deficiency, threatened miscarriage, and habitual abortion (caused by insufficient luteal function), as well as premenstrual tension syndrome. Dosage and administration:
1) Threatened miscarriage—Oral: 4–8 mg per dose, 2–3 times daily. For habitual abortion, start with 10 mg daily for the first 3 months, then increase to 20 mg daily for the next 4–4.5 months, and finally reduce the dose and discontinue.
2) Dysmenorrhea—Starting from the 6th day of the menstrual cycle, take 2–4 mg orally once daily for 20 consecutive days; or start from the 1st day of the menstrual cycle, take 3 times daily for 3 consecutive days.
3) Functional amenorrhea—Take 4–8 mg daily for 5–10 consecutive days. ① Endometriosis: Start with 6–8 mg/day, gradually increasing the dose to 20–30 mg/day, and continue for 6–8 weeks. ② Functional bleeding, amenorrhea: Take 4–10 mg daily for 7–10 days, with cyclical use. ③ Hormone replacement therapy: Add this medication for 12–14 days on the basis of estrogen use, with a daily dose of 4.0–8.0 mg. ④ Adjuvant treatment for endometrial cancer: 400–1000 mg per week.
4) Adverse reactions—Occasionally, nausea, dizziness, headache, fatigue, urticaria, breast swelling, reduced or absent menstruation after long-term continuous use, abnormal liver function, edema, and weight gain may occur.
