Features: Jia Youfu was born in Xuning County, Hebei Province in 1942. He is a professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. He specializes in landscape painting. For decades, he has used the rural areas of the Taihang Mountains in northern China as his creative base. He has made twenty-two trips into the Taihang Mountains and has traveled across more than twenty counties in Hebei, Henan, and Shanxi provinces. He has devoted himself to the exploration of the creation and development of modern Chinese landscape painting and the study of Chinese painting theory. To date, fifteen versions of Jia Youfu's painting collections and "Jia Youfu's Words on Painting" have been published both in China and abroad.
