Features: With the efforts of all parties, the "2004 Shanghai Commercial Development Report" has finally been published and released. This is an exploration by the Municipal Economic Commission to serve the entire society through the form of industrial development reports, focusing on industrial development and accelerating functional transformation. The book is divided into four parts: The first part, in the form of a general introduction, reviews and analyzes the development of Shanghai's commerce in 2003, and briefly elaborates on the commercial development environment and key points of 2004. The second part provides a concise analysis of some major industries. The third part introduces the commercial layout structure and planning highlights of Shanghai. The fourth part mainly appends charts and tables that comprehensively reflect the development and background information of Shanghai's commerce. Due to being the first time to compile and publish the "2004 Shanghai Commercial Development Report," there was a lack of experience, and the time was relatively rushed. As a result, there is limited analysis and discussion on wholesale trade. Additionally, there are many shortcomings and immature aspects in the analysis and presentation of commercial industries and formats. Furthermore, the content structure of this report is also exploratory and may not fully and accurately reflect the overall development of Shanghai's commerce at present. We sincerely hope that all sectors of society will provide valuable comments so that we can improve and refine our work in future compilations, making our service better.
