This book has three main features: First, in terms of the organizational structure, it follows the framework of modern criminal law and the sequence of historical development to study the basic theories and practical issues of traditional Chinese criminal law. Second, it dedicates four chapters to systematically and comprehensively study traditional Chinese criminal theory by organizing and analyzing the thoughts of "divine governance," "moral governance," "ritual governance," and "legal governance." Third, it provides its own perspectives on the characteristics of the general overview of traditional Chinese criminal legislation, the evolution of the of criminal codes, and other related aspects.
