College English Vocabulary and Grammar: Must-Have for High Scores

Features: "College English Vocabulary & Grammar High Score" is compiled based on the "General Vocabulary List for College English Teaching Syllabus (Revised Version)" revised and completed by the Vocabulary Working Group of the College English Teaching Syllabus under the direct leadership of the National Education Ministry's College Foreign Language Teaching Advisory Committee in 1999. It is available for use by college and university students (undergraduate and associate degree) and individuals with equivalent English proficiency. For the CET-4 vocabulary, the new syllabus proposes "comprehensively mastering 4,200 words (including 2,500 words mastered in a reusable manner) and the common word phrases formed from these words (including those mastered at the secondary level)." In terms of grammar, it requires students to "consolidate and deepen their basic grammar knowledge and improve their ability to apply grammar knowledge at the discourse level." To help students better achieve these goals outlined in the syllabus, we have compiled "College English Vocabulary & Grammar High Score." We hope that through the use of this book, students can not only consolidate the exam vocabulary and grammar learned from the textbook but also master the vocabulary and grammar within the CET-4 range that do not appear in the textbook but are part of the exam. College English Vocabulary & Grammar High Score consists of three parts: Vocabulary, Grammar, and Cloze. The Vocabulary section includes 10,000 test questions, the Grammar section includes 800 test questions, and the Cloze section adopts 10 passages. To fully leverage the book's role as a bridge between teaching materials and exams, the writing of this book reflects the following features:
1. Vocabulary and grammar knowledge are integrated into the test questions. The answers and concise explanations provided after each question enable students to learn and consolidate target vocabulary and grammar through practice, rather than relying on teachers' explanations, addressing the shortcomings of rote memorization and difficulty in grasping key points in daily learning.
2. Each section is accompanied by answer techniques tailored to the specific skills of that section, helping students understand what the exam focuses on and how to approach the tests while learning vocabulary and grammar.
3. During the writing process, we emphasize not only providing correct answers to exam points but also designing the other three options carefully to avoid ineffective and meaningless choices, maximizing the volume of practice and learning.
