With the advancement of medical science and technology, new technologies, methods, and theories continue to be widely adopted, leading to the continuous development of related disciplines. The fifth edition of the national college and university planned teaching material, Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery, edited by Professor Tian Yong, builds upon the previous edition by incorporating "the three new" aspects—new theories, new methods, and new technologies—and renaming the book Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery to include content on head and neck surgery. To help students better study and review, more comprehensively master the material, and especially to enable those preparing for the national postgraduate entrance examination to quickly integrate the content and improve their exam performance, we have organized some professors from the Medical School of Shandong University to write corresponding exercises for each chapter of this textbook, arranged in the same order as the textbook, and compiled them into A Guide for Preparing for the Examination of New Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery. The content includes key points, important reminders, test questions, and reference answers. The test questions are divided into definitions of terms, fill-in-the-blank questions, multiple-choice questions, and short-answer questions, covering most of the textbook material, with a more detailed explanation of the key content that students are required to master. This book is not only suitable for undergraduate medical students and those preparing for postgraduate entrance exams but can also serve as a reference for interns and practicing physicians taking exams.
