What is the cause of ovarian cysts?

Patient's question:

Patient Gender:
Female
Patient Age:
30
Detailed Medical Condition and Purpose of Consultation:
I gave birth to my daughter via cesarean section, and during the surgery, it was discovered that I had cysts on both ovaries. The doctor performed cyst removal surgery on one side and cyst stripping on the other. Now, my menstruation is normal. I would like to ask, can I still get pregnant? How likely is it? Do I still need to take contraceptive measures?

Doctor's answer:

If your endocrine system is normal, the fallopian tube on the side that has not had an ovary removed is unobstructed, and the uterus is also normal, you should be able to get pregnant. However, the chances are reduced because, typically, women ovulate once a month and on alternating sides. Of course, I am referring to the general case, and there are exceptions. This is just my personal opinion and should be taken as a reference only.
