Features: In the late Song Dynasty, the Mongols invaded southward. Young Liang Wenjing and his father Liang Tiande fled into Sichuan to avoid Mongol conscription. Along the way, they encountered the assassination of the Imperial Commissioner Hua'an Wang. The strategist Bai Pu of the Wang's mansion noticed that Liang Wenjing bore a resemblance to Hua'an Wang and proposed a plan to impersonate the prince. Unwilling to fake Hua'an Wang, Liang Wenjing escaped that night and met the Mongol woman Xiao Yuling and the impoverished scholar Gong Yangyu. Gong Yangyu taught Liang Wenjing the "Three Talents Returning to Origin Palm," which could counter Xiao Yuling's black water martial arts. However, after a series of entanglements between Liang Wenjing and Xiao Yuling, they developed feelings for each other and discovered that Xiao Yuling's master, Xiao Leng, was the assassin who killed Hua'an Wang. Later, Xiao Leng arrived and attempted to kill Liang Wenjing, but Xiao Yuling intervened and stopped him. Liang Wenjing barely escaped with his life and was forced to go to Hezhou, where he was revered as Hua'an Wang. Meanwhile, the Mongol army advanced, and Liang Tiande was killed in battle. Bai Pu also died at the hands of an internal traitor. With external enemies and internal assassins, Liang Wenjing finally overcame his timid nature with Xiao Yuling's help. He first defeated Xiao Leng, then killed the Mongol Khan, lifting the siege of Hezhou. Afterward, he resigned his position and married Xiao Yuling.
