Will yellow leukorrhea cause fetal demise?

Patient's question:

The last menstrual period started on June 14th. On July 27th, the ultrasound showed only a gestational sac, no yolk sac, no fetal heartbeat or fetal stalk, no yolk sac. Will the gestational sac grow and yellow discharge cause a miscarriage? Will yellow discharge cause a miscarriage?

Doctor's answer:

It is speculated that the fetus stopping indicates the cessation of growth and development of the embryo or fetus in the uterus. After the embryo stops developing, early pregnancy symptoms will disappear, and breast swelling and brown vaginal discharge will never reappear. When the fetus stops, brown vaginal discharge may occur again, but brown vaginal discharge does not necessarily indicate that the fetus has stopped. Threatened miscarriage can also cause brown vaginal discharge. It is recommended that you go to the hospital for an ultrasound to confirm. If the embryo has stopped developing, you will need to have an early pregnancy termination.
