Patient's question:
I'm in my early twenties, and it seems like I've been coming since I was around 15 years old. I remember that every time I came, it was painful. For the first one or two days, I couldn't even get out of bed. It was really uncomfortable. What should I do? My underwear is always yellow and can't be washed clean. Please give me some advice! Why is my breast smaller than those of my peers? I feel very self-conscious about it. What should I do? Please answer each question one by one. Thank you!Doctor's answer:
Hello: Based on your symptoms, there is a possibility of inflammation. Dysmenorrhea refers to lower abdominal pain that occurs during or around the menstrual period, affecting work or health. It can be classified into primary and secondary dysmenorrhea. For secondary dysmenorrhea, etiological treatment should be administered. For primary dysmenorrhea, when the pain is severe, "atropine" 0.5 mg can be administered intramuscularly, or symptomatic treatment can be provided using pain relievers such as "aspirin." Progestogen therapy can also be used, such as taking "norethisterone" 2.5–5 mg or "medroxyprogesterone" 4–8 mg orally once daily, starting on the 5th day of the menstrual period and continuing for 22 days, for 3 cycles. Additionally, "progesterone" 10–20 mg can be administered intramuscularly once daily, starting 7 days before the onset of menstruation and continuing for 5 days. Estrogen therapy, such as taking "ethinyl estradiol" 0.5–1 g orally once daily, starting on the 6th day of the menstrual cycle and continuing for 20 days, can also be chosen.
