What methods are there to treat? Vaginitis

Patient's question:

I got vaginitis two months ago, but when I had a follow-up check-up, they said it was already resolved. However, every time I get my period, I feel some discomfort there, especially in the morning. Sometimes I feel like I need to urinate frequently, but when I squat, not much urine comes out. I also occasionally feel uncomfortable during my period. Could you please tell me what this could be? Is it possible that my vaginitis hasn't been fully treated yet?

Doctor's answer:

(1) Trichomoniasis Trichomonads are found in the folds and cervical glands of the vagina, as well as in the urethra and intestines. Therefore, systemic administration of metronidazole should be emphasized.
(2) Candidiasis For the treatment of candidiasis, a 2%–3% soda solution can be used to rinse the external genitalia, vagina, or for sitz baths. After gently drying, imidazole or clotrimazole suppositories can be placed. Oral antifungal medications may also be used. Before administering medication to pregnant or lactating women with candidiasis, the potential impact on the fetus or infant should be considered.
(3) Bacterial Vaginosis The first-line medication is oral metronidazole. Local treatment can also be administered by inserting medication into the vagina.
