Features: General Physics Experiment is a mandatory and essential foundational course for science and engineering students. The importance of physics experiments is not only reflected in the discovery of physical laws through experiments but also in the fact that every major breakthrough in physics is closely related to experiments. The significance of physics experiments in university education is self-evident. With the deepening of reform and opening-up and China's accession to the WTO, international exchanges in physics education have become increasingly frequent. Rapidly cultivating science and technology talents who are proficient in both their field and foreign languages has become an urgent task of modern education. In recent years, universities have vigorously promoted bilingual teaching, but bilingual physics education is severely lacking, especially in the availability of bilingual physics experiment textbooks suitable for general institutions. To fill this gap, we have specially compiled this book. Considering the varying English proficiency levels of students in local universities, we have adopted a bilingual (Chinese-English) layout to facilitate learning. In terms of error data processing, we follow the requirements of modern international scientific and technical literature and experimental result descriptions by using the standard uncertainty of calculated results. We have also selected representative experiments for measurement examples. The book includes a total of 50 experiments, including 26 in mechanics and thermodynamics, 16 in electromagnetism, and 8 in optics. This book can be used as a bilingual physics experiment textbook for science, engineering, and normal university physics majors, as well as for non-physics majors in science and engineering, vocational colleges, and radio and television universities for physics experiments (bilingual).
