Is ectopic pregnancy the same as being pregnant?

Patient's question:

On January 24, 2010, a vaginal MRI revealed a dark area in the uterus with a diameter of 0.2. On January 28, 2010, there was a very small amount of peeling, and a vaginal ultrasound showed a 1.4 cm, uneven hypoechoic linear structure in the uterine cavity, with a 0.2 cm dark area inside. There was also a 1.41.30.9 cm solid mass adjacent to the left ovary, with an internal 0.50.3 cm structure. I want to ask if this could be an ectopic pregnancy?

Doctor's answer:

Based on your situation, it can be confirmed that you are pregnant. Currently, based on your color ultrasound alone, it is not yet possible to definitively determine whether it is an ectopic pregnancy, although it cannot be ruled out. It is best to undergo a diagnostic (D&C) and have the tissue sent for pathology examination, while also rechecking the ultrasound to confirm the diagnosis. In addition to active treatment, patients with ectopic pregnancy also need to pay attention to maintaining a good mood in daily life, as a positive attitude can greatly assist in the complete recovery from the disease.
