Features: Standard Japanese Conversation Course·Beginner was written by teachers from the Japanese Department of the School of Oriental Languages and Cultures at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, specializing in basic teaching. It is one of the series textbooks designed for first-year full-time undergraduate students of Japanese major. The series consists of two volumes: Student Book and Teacher's Manual (for teachers' lesson preparation). It is intended for use over one academic year (72 class hours, 2 hours per week). It is also suitable for non-Japanese major learners and Japanese enthusiasts. The writing approach of this book includes:
· Conversation practice can be conducted after clarifying learning points, or key points can be summarized after practice. This book adopts the latter approach.
· Conversation classes are not intensive reading classes, nor are they supplementary to intensive reading classes. Therefore, grammar explanations, pattern drills, etc., are not within the scope of this book's compilation. The book consists of 32 lessons, divided into three parts. Starting from the Japanese phonetics stage, it covers the entire process of basic Japanese at the beginner level. The difficulty level of language knowledge is arranged according to the grammar acquisition sequence in Standard Japanese Beginner Course (Volumes 1 and 2).
Part 1: Japanese Phonetics. This part consists of 4 lessons, focusing on the practice of hiragana, katakana, words, and short sentences. The purpose is to help students master the pronunciation of hiragana and form a preliminary understanding of Japanese intonation, rhythm, etc.
Part 2: Japanese Conversation (Beginner). This part consists of 27 lessons. Through actual dialogue scenarios, learners practice conversation using the Japanese language knowledge they have learned, mastering correct speaking and responding methods, and deepening their understanding of the entire conversation process. At the same time, by comparing with their own culture, learners can understand Japanese culture, life, customs, ways of thinking, etc., to broaden their horizons.
Part 3: Japanese Conversation Ability Test. Only 1 lesson. Used for self-assessment by students. It can be considered as a warm-up exercise for Standard Japanese Conversation Course·Intermediate.
