Wen Cheng Wu Wei:

Features:This book (which I prefer to call a [photography diary]) collects some captured in film form, my private thoughts and feelings. In addition to occasionally using text as an appendix, I use my own body as an artistic expression tool, a medium of communication, and the language itself. Text is often distorted, but only I can twist my own body in the way I like. As a performer, I both need and desire to feel comfortable and at ease with my own body and skin. Editing this book was an experience that gave me a sense of release. I hope that when you read it, you will also experience the same joy as I did while creating it. — Karen Mok
The preparation and production of this photo book took three years and was shot in places like Italy, Spain, Tibet, and Hong Kong. Fashion brand Salvatore Ferragamo even lent a castle in Florence for Karen to shoot and had six pairs of uniquely designed high heels made for her upcoming mainland China concert tour. Karen Mok (Karen) has spent three years planning and preparing for her photo book, "Wen Cheng Wu Wei," which was officially released in September. Karen shot this sexy and enchanting crystal-themed photo series, traveling to places like Italy, Spain, and Tibet for the shoots. I believe this album will bring you a different side of Karen! The entire book contains only about 100 words, all written by Karen. The photos are absolutely the main focus.
Karen Mok stated that her definition of a photo book is absolutely not as simple as dedicating a week to it and then posing in a bunch of bikinis on the beach. "What I want is a photo book that has content and information." The reporter saw that the writing in the book was quite emotional. In the preface, Karen wrote: "This book (which I prefer to call a [photography diary]) collects some captured in film form, my private thoughts and feelings." Accompanying the sexy naked photos, Karen added the text, "Naked but not revealing, stripped bare but still clothed." Like a model, Karen posed cutely: "Stop wearing animal fur. Animal fur belongs to their bodies, not ours."
Facing the charm of the Mediterranean, Karen returned to her innocent years: "How did we share our first kiss, holding hands, making promises. Do we really know what love is?"
