Features: Zhao Feng often came to look for An Tong, and An Tong had already felt a subtle change in their relationship. She had indeed always hoped to find a boyfriend in college, but she felt that someone like Zhao Feng wasn’t quite right for her. Moreover, sometimes she couldn’t quite understand what Zhao Feng was thinking—his way of thinking seemed always different from others. An Tong was also aware that she was an restless person, always unable to resist new and exciting things, and sometimes quite pragmatic.
"What are you thinking about?" Zhao Feng stopped playing the guitar beside her and asked.
"Nothing, let’s just stop practicing for today," An Tong said, ready to leave.
"Wait, I haven’t paid my tuition yet?" Zhao Feng called her back.
"Tuition? That’s something I’m interested in," An Tong replied.
Zhao Feng smiled proudly and pulled out two bills from his pocket.
"Here!" An Tong took the bills.
"Stockholm Concert in Sweden?" she asked.
Zhao Feng nodded.
"Here in the Shanghai Concert Hall."
"Such high-brow art, I’m afraid I won’t appreciate it," An Tong said.
"It’s fine. If you don’t like it, we can switch."
Zhao Feng pulled out two movie tickets from his pocket again.
"Do you like horror movies?" he asked.
An Tong’s smile stiffened, as if she had already given him the answer.
Zhao Feng was quick to take back the movie tickets and pulled out two tickets for the grand theater instead.
"Phantom of the Opera, right?" An Tong was amazed. His pockets were more magical than Doraemon’s—seeming to have everything.
"Don’t tell me that if I still refuse, you’ll pull out something else, like tickets to an art exhibition, or a zoo, or a botanical garden?"
"If you like it, sure," Zhao Feng said, reaching into his pocket again.
"Really?"
"Of course. Otherwise, how would I have been able to ask you out?"
Zhao Feng’s words seemed to send an electric shock through An Tong, and she fell silent for a moment.
Zhao Feng realized he had said something sensitive and also fell silent.
After a moment of quiet, Zhao Feng spoke up.
"An Tong, actually—I—"
"Oh, I have something to do. I’ll go first," An Tong tried to slip away.
"I like you!" Zhao Feng’s words cut her off, making An Tong stop in her tracks and stand there blankly.
"Think about it. I’m serious," Zhao Feng said very seriously. An Tong noticed that he actually looked quite handsome when he was serious.
But could she truly fall for him? She didn’t know. Right then, her mind was a mess, and she didn’t want to think about anything—she just wanted to escape as quickly as possible.
