Features: This series of "French Grammar: French Made Easy" is divided into three levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced), progressing from the grammatical functions of parts of speech and verb tenses to sentence structure and logical relationships, in a step-by-step and gradual manner. It is both systematic and comprehensive, with beginner level including sentence patterns and exercises, and advanced level covering parts of speech and verb tenses. However, each level has different focuses in grammar explanations and varying difficulty levels in the accompanying exercises. This series has the following features:
1. Clarifications are concise and easy to understand. The explanations of key and difficult grammar points are presented in an outline format, providing learners with a clear overview of the language phenomenon.
2. Examples are practical and closely tied to the practicality of the language. Every grammar rule explained in the book is accompanied by examples to help learners grasp and apply the grammar point.
3. Exercises are innovative and rich in vocabulary. The exercises (with reference answers provided) are designed around the key and difficult points of the grammar rules, featuring diverse and lively formats with vocabulary that reflects contemporary French life.
4. "Notes" sections are strategically placed. These are primarily used to supplement special usages of grammar points and unique linguistic phenomena.
To make this book more suitable for Chinese learners, the translators made the following adjustments:
1. The original book adopted the new spelling rules compiled and recommended by the Collège de France, which involve the omission of accents in 20 basic French words. Considering that this new rule has not yet been implemented in China, the translators have restored the accents in the examples and exercises.
2. To make the series more concise, easier to understand, and better suited to the needs of Chinese learners, the translators have made minor edits or additions to the original text, examples, and exercises.
